Alternative Energy

Alternative fuel:
It’s also known as non-conventional and advanced fuel other than gasoline for powering motor vehicles, such as natural gas, methanol or electricity. They are derived from sources other than petroleum most are produced domestically, reducing our dependences on importation. Often, they produce less pollution than gasoline or diesel.

WHY ALTERNATIVE FUEL SYSTEM?
With the economic realities, the price and availability of fuel for automobile is very important and a critical factor for commercial transportation businesses and fleet owners. With the rise of PMS/Diesel, fuel choice has become the most debated topic in almost every sphere. The key is to find a fuel that is cost effective as well as energy efficient, in this regard, CNG/LPG score high.
Auto gas is cleaner and greener – today’s vehicles are much cleaner than they used to be but they still contribute to air pollution, vehicle converted to run on auto gas produce far fewer of the harmful emission associated with traditional fuels so offer the best environmental alternative.

BENEFITS OF ALTERNATIVE FUEL SYSTEM
The alternative fuel (LPG/CNG) are natural hydrocarbon fuel that becomes liquefied when a little pressure applied to it. Enabling large quantity to be stored in a small tank. LPG is now used across the globe by motorists.

LESS EXPENSIVE:

Running on LPG, you’ll save a lot on running cost. It is 65% cheaper than conventional fuel. When incorporating the full life-cycle savings of operating gas automobile instead of diesel automobile, the savings goes even higher

BETTER PERFORMANCE:

running on LPG helps to extend the lifespan of vehicles engine. It has a better combustion with a higher octane rating than petrol and diesel. ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY: Alternative fuel reduces gas emissions. A car with 8.0 l/100km and 20.000 km annual produces 3860kg CO2, 16kg CO and 2.58kg HC while LPG only 2640kg CO2 (31.6% less), 11.21kg CO (30% less) and 1.87kg HC (Hydro Carbon, 27.5% less).

NO ADULTERATION:

Diesel adulteration is a problem in Nigeria-Industry experts estimate that at least 20% of diesel is adulterated in Nigeria. LPG/ CNG on the other hand can only be stored in high –pressure skids-eliminating the risk of adulteration.

REDUCED MAINTENANCE:

LPG/CNG is a much cleaner fuel than diesel or petrol- reducing the risk of damage and extending the life of industrial equipment. LPG/CNG vehicles also have long service interval, reducing maintenance and aftermarket cost.

DUAL SYSTEM, JOURNEY MADE EASY:

Most petrol engines can be converted by addition of a second fuel system –LPG. Same applies for diesel vehicles. This means that the vehicle will continue to run on petrol or diesel (for instance if you run out of LPG OR CNG) and the tank can be fitted in the spare wheel well or in some cases below the vehicle so you do not lose any boot space.

RE-FUELLING:

Filling up is just as easy as petrol and there are quite a number of re-fuelling points in strategic places in all the states.
